What helps us help you
Reporting a wrong result. Tell us which calculator, the measurements you entered, the units, and what you expected. The "Copy link to this result" button under each calculator captures all of that in one link, so pasting it into your message is ideal.
Reporting an error in a guide. Tell us the page and the sentence or figure. If you have a source for the correct information, include it.
Suggesting a calculator or guide. Describe the job you were trying to do and where you got stuck. Requests that come up more than once go to the top of the list.
What happens next
We aim to reply within a week. Confirmed errors are corrected as soon as they are checked, and the fix is recorded with its date in the corrections log.
We cannot give advice on individual building projects, structural questions or local permit requirements. For those, your local building department or a qualified professional is the right place to ask.
